Auto Storage Process

You’ve done your homework, prepared your vehicle and are now ready to send it into hibernation mode. Here’s what you can expect when you store at The Paddock.

1. Wait for a reservation confirmation

Whether it is before an early morning flight out, during the lunch hour rush or late in the evening, a Paddock team member will be able to assist you during the check in process of your vehicle. After you submit an appointment request, we will send you a confirmation email once spacing and times have been verified. In most cases, we are able to accommodate clients who would like to store the same day if a request is received during office hours (Monday – Friday from 10am – 5pm).

2. Submit all documentation

If you’ve stored your vehicle with us before, you can skip to step 3.

The safety of your vehicle is of the utmost importance to us at The Paddock.
We require proof of vehicle ownership and storage insurance at a minimum (insider tip: some insurance companies ask for 24 hours notice to resume your previous policy settings before you can drive), so be sure to plan your check-in accordingly. Before you enter storage, we ask for care requirements specific to your vehicle and personal preferences. Only scheduled maintenance or modifications authorized by you will be allowed while your vehicle is in our care. We keep copies of identification on file for each designated person authorized to drive your vehicle so family members can easily check out or return your vehicle in your stead.

3. A quick inspection

We conduct a quick walk-around with you onsite to ensure that the condition your vehicle enters our storage facility will be same when it leaves. Factors such as the cleanliness of the exterior and interior, tire pressure, fuel tank levels and engine condition can improve the quality of your storage term. We’ll make a few recommendations based on what we see. Visits can be completed in 15 – 30 minutes depending on paperwork or questions you may have.

4. Your vehicle is stored!

We provide a monthly “car health” report by request. Your vehicle is safe and sound inside our high-security storage facility. Check it out any time and return it when you are ready to store it again. We’ll conduct basic storage maintenance and even yearly tasks by request such as registration renewals or work done at your preferred automotive facility. Whatever the task, let us know and we’ll see how we can help.

To check-out or check a vehicle back in, simply contact us via email or phone 1 hour in advance during office hours and 24 hours in advance for after hours visits.

5. Storage Term Completed

When it comes time to check your vehicle out completely, we’ll set an appointment for you to pick it up. A team member will do a full walk-around the vehicle with you to ensure that you are satisfied with the condition of your vehicle. Any keys and car accessories will be returned and paperwork will be finalized. Visit us again when you’re ready for storage. Enjoy driving season!
